As a lifelong obsessive Christmas fan, compiling vegan gift guides for the holidays is one of my favorite activities. These guides typically include things like vegan handbags, cruelty-free cologne and makeup, and faux leather high heel pumps. However, during this bizarre time when many of us are staying in the house, those gifts might not be as practical. It’s much less fun to receive sparkly shoes meant for a hot date if your next date is taking place on Zoom.
So, this guide will primarily be focused on items you and your loved ones can enjoy safely inside the home! As usual, some will be specific item recommendations, while others will be general categories with a few brand recommendations. My goal is to make your holiday shopping as fun, simple, and animal-friendly as possible!
Note: Books included on this list are all linked to Bookshop.org, an online bookstore with a mission to financially support local, independent bookstores. By shopping through Bookshop.org, you’re helping small businesses stay alive and thriving!

If you follow me on Instagram, you already know I’m obsessed with this brand. I wear their cozy vegan boots AND slippers pretty much every day in the fall and winter! If you’re shopping for someone who likes the comfort, aesthetic, and ease of Uggs boots, but doesn’t like the animal cruelty involved in their products, this is for them. Most of their styles are designed for women, but there are a couple options for men! Pawj doesn’t use animal skins in any of their products, so feel free to shop from their whole store!

I’ve been obsessed with Osea Malibu’s non-toxic, cruelty-free, organic skincare products for at least five years now. This family run business has been ahead of the curve in this industry since the early 90’s! They source pure, organic ingredients from the sea to enhance and protect your natural beauty. Osea Malibu’s vegan skincare products do cost more than drugstore brands, but that’s because they’re vastly superior in quality.

For “research,” I ordered this Shiatsu Heated Back & Neck Massager a few days ago. It has thousands of rave reviews online, but as someone with chronic muscle pain, I wanted to check it out myself. Within ten seconds of using it, I told my husband it was the best money I’ve ever spent! It truly feels like an expert massage therapist is working on your muscles. It’s designed to wear over your shoulders, but you can easily use it on your lower back or legs. Everyone is carrying a bit of extra stress this year, so this gift is sure to be a hit with anyone who receives it!
Shop the Shiatsu Heated Neck & Back Massager at Amazon. Priced at $49.97.
The Our Place “Always Pan” has been a huge hit this year with chefs and bloggers alike! This chic, non-toxic, non-stick pan is designed to replace your fry pan, saute pan, steamer, skillet, saucier, saucepan, non-stick pan, spatula, and spoon rest. It sells out frequently, so keep an eye on inventory levels. The culinary possibilities are endless, but I’m most excited about using it for one-pot pastas. In fact, I recommend gifting this colorful pan with a copy of Vegan Goodness: One-Pot Wonders!

Toms has always been a company dedicated to giving back, and they’re doing so even more during the time of COVID (learn about that here). The books shown above, which were written by some of my all time favorite vegan bloggers, are Vegan Comfort Classics: 101 Recipes To Feed Your Face, Southern Vegan: Delicious Down-Home Recipes for Your Plant-Based Diet, and The Superfun Times Vegan Holiday Cookbook: Entertaining for Absolutely Every Occasion.
Yes, the internet is full of free vegan recipes, but there’s nothing quite like flipping through the pages of an actual physical book. Plus, unless the online recipes have ratings, it can be hard to know which ones are good! I’ve bought and thoroughly tested dozens of vegan cookbooks over the last decade (you should see my bookshelves), and these are some of the top titles I’d recommend for experienced and newbie vegans alike!

For those of you who love weighted blankets, they carry those too!

Winc’s personalized wine club has a full section of entirely vegan wines! We need this now more than ever, since bars aren’t exactly a great option right now. While Winc is technically a subscription service, they do allow you to order just one month at a time, making it perfect for gifting. Pick out a few animal-friendly bottles and you’re good to go!

Cameo is a service that allows you to purchase personalized shoutouts from actors, musicians, athletes, comedians, YouTube/Tik Tok stars, and other celebrities. You provide the name of the gift recipient plus some fun facts or things you’d like them to mention, and they’ll record a video message just for you! I purchased a Randy Rainbow video for my brother last year and it was SO much fun.
Thousands of celebrities have made themselves available on this platform, but some of my favorites include The Bachelor’s Chris Harrison, several cast members from The Office, Jim O’Heir (Parks & Recreation), Jeremy Piven, and (don’t judge me, I just think it would be funny) Michael Cohen.
It can take up to a week to receive your video, so plan accordingly!

Candles get a bad reputation for being that last minute item you buy someone when you can’t think of anything more personal. That definitely does not apply to Rescue Candles, as the recipient is sure to appreciate the thoughtfulness that goes into this gift! 25% of net proceeds are donated to their animal rescue partners! These soy-based candles are sure to warm the home and heart of anyone on your gift list!

Who would’ve thought 2020 would be the year of the puzzle? Not me! Yet here we are, endlessly searching for ways to stay busy and entertained at home. Uncommon Goods offers a wide range of puzzles, many of which carry themes I personally appreciate (like climate action and women’s suffrage).
My favorite option is probably their New York Times Custom Front Page puzzle ($49, shown above), which allows you to choose the New York Times cover page art from any date in history!

As someone who gardens obsessively in the summer, I’m already missing growing my own food! Buying herbs at the grocery store just feels wrong now. Fortunately, we can grow all year round with a window garden! There are plenty of kits on the market, but this 9 Herb Window Garden from Planters’ Choice seems to be the most popular and well-reviewed. It comes with everything you need to grow Dill, Basil, Chives, Thyme, Parsley, Oregano, Cilantro, Sage, & Mustard. Enjoy!

The Instant Pot is an indispensable kitchen appliance for many vegans! I recommend purchasing it with an accompanying plant-based cookbook so your gift recipient can get cooking right away! The Vegan Instant Pot Cookbook contains 90+ recipes including Mini Mushroom & Leek Quiches, Caramelized Onion Jam, Fluffy Garlic Mashed Potatoes, Miso Mushroom Risotto, Pasta Primavera Alfredo, and Double Fudge Chocolate Cake!

What brightens up an indoor space better than a vibrant green plant? The Sill ships a wide variety of potted house plants (both live and faux) to fit every budget. House plants make an especially good gift for people living in cities who aren’t able to experience much nature right now. Because some plants can be toxic to different animals, The Sill has an entire section dedicated to pet-friendly plants! My personal favorite is the Hoya Heart Plant, shown above in the center.

Brewing Good Coffee Company’s motto is, “Drink Coffee. Save Animals.” It doesn’t get much more straightforward than that. After years working in large-scale animal rescue (busting puppy mills and dog fighting rings with Animal Rescue Corps), co-founder Karla Goodson set out to launch a life-saving coffee company. 10% of all proceeds benefit animal rescue organizations; if you sign your caffeine-loving friend up for a subscription, that’s a huge impact! They have a wide selection of coffee, tea, and even accessories to peruse. This is the perfect gift for your friend who caffeinates daily and would love to help animals while doing so!

Cocokind offers a very affordable line of clean, non-toxic, cruelty-free self care products that are sure to help your loved ones indulge, relax, and feel refreshed! Almost everything is vegan, with the exception of a few products that contain beeswax. The founder launched Cocokind after struggling with adult acne, saying, “I wanted to create a more transparent, affordable brand that wasn’t playing off the terrible emotion of desperation.” Most popular products include the Oat to Milk Cleanser ($18), the Resurfacing Sleep Mask ($22), and the Celery Skincare Duo ($32).

2020 seems to be the year for making homemade bread! Not only is it fun to make your own food, it also saves money over time and keeps you out of the grocery sore. This model is extremely well reviewed and is one of the more affordable high-quality machines on the market. I recommend pairing it with The Ultimate Bread Machine Cookbook: Quick, Easy, Keto, Vegan and Gluten-Free Recipes for Baking Homemade Bread in a Bread Maker. This book isn’t exclusively vegan, but does contain 20 vegan bread recipes.
My Instagram followers already know how much I love electric blankets! Not only do they keep my husband and me cozy on the couch, but our small dogs absolutely live on them in the winter. If anyone on your gift list has chihuahuas or other pets prone to chilliness, an electric heated blanket will absolutely be appreciated.
